well, its been a year today since i purchased my clio, its gone so quick :dapprove:
alots gone on, and not much left to do till its how i want it... anyways:
back in the day:
(look how high it is )
next the tints went on, also managed to pick up some OZ superleggeras for £150 on ebay, and the FK Highsport Coilovers which im glad i got rather than just springs :approve:
it had only had the coilovers on for a week or so, but i wanted to go lower before it settled fully, so i wound the down back to its lowest and did the front to match...
after it had settled fully, i picked up a full magnex system for £50 on ebay, was in pretty good condition just needed a good polish...
after realising the oval backbox was gash, i kept a lookout for a twin backbox... in the meantime the backbox had quite an adventure... including dropping off on the m62 and numerous weeks with it being held on with a garden washing line.
because the car was pretty low, the middle section of the exhaust kept catching on everything, eventually putting a hole in the centre silencer, so it was blowing like mad! thanks to Has, i managed to get a straight through center section, which opened up the revs more and made it sound and feel alot better :approve: but, i still had the gash backbox
a month went by, and i went out to my car one morning to find 2 tyres slashed and the wingmirror snapped clean off :dapprove: managed to get the 2 slashed alloys off, and took them on the bus to the tyre place to get new tyres lol
managed to eventually get hold of a new electric heated wingmirror from Martin_89, which worked perfectly
i noticed by back numberplate was getting water inside it, and it had started going black round the edges, so i got some german style aluminium plates from dubmeister (cheers for the idea immy )
next, a twin backbox finally came up for sale on here, pretty local too so i went and collected it, but then realised the bore of the backbox was completely different to the center section i had
i got around it by getting my powerflow dealer to make me up a middle section, with the end flared out to meet the backbox, also got them to put it on :approve: i was warey of it losing power, but it dosent seem to have so im happy.
at least it looks alot better with the twin compared with the gashy oval one...
now, finally, as it was last saturday at the s. yorks meet :approve:
lastly, id like to say a big thanks to everyone on here for the advice they've given me over the past year of me owning a clio, and to edde for all the work hes done on my car
thanks people!!
