Only 172 Cups for sale - few questions

1) The Cup has a "Deeper" front bumper? Guess they mean just the little black lip on the bottom?

2) Is the car lower than a 172 or is the cup just stiffened suspension-wise?

3) Somewhere mentioned the 172 CUP has a wider track than a 172? Take it that is un-noticable then!!

cheers

2) Is the car lower than a 172 or is the cup just stiffened suspension-wise? i wouldnt really say lower, but it does have better suspension yes

3) Somewhere mentioned the 172 CUP has a wider track than a 172? Take it that is un-noticable then!!, the wider track is not un noticable, it makes the car handle better

cheers

Its 3mm lower and has a wider track due to the offset on the alloy wheels.

do you know the exact cup wheel size at all?

in et and pcd - would like to change wheels, would be nice to get exact offset and not get the non cup width back accidently!

It will be stamped on the wheels if you look close enough. Usually on the back of the spokes, or on the inside rim edge.

The cup was 3mm lower but of course the dampers were stiffer (with the springs being the same) so the cars looked the same height or higher!

The cup is 7mm lower at the front and 5 at the back (or is it the other way round). The tolerances are tighter so some 172s can be lower than cups.

The cup setups not that much different you could make a 172 into a cup but there are better setups ie coilovers etc.

That bit of plastic is the lower fornt bumper yep. Personally Id take it off there expensive to replace and easy to smash.
