open induction kit - 172

yes i know i'll "loose power" and heat soak etc but i just want to know if anyone on here has one and if so can you post up a vid of it please so i can hear it...i just remember the noise my valver made with a piper x cone filter on..it was imense and i miss it lol

My valver made an AMAZING noise with the huge piper cone. Just stunning, especially through long tunnels in the french alps.
Did stunt the performance over the standard system tho

i had an open one on my ph-1 for a day mate,sounded great (like my old valver) but ran like a bag of spanners,idled so sh*t too,back on with the enclosed one and bk to normal,just my 10p worth matey

I don't think that a F4R will ever sound as nice as an F7P/F7R tbh. Don't know why, but the older ones sound a bit better

The 16v's/Willy induction kits bolt straight onto the throttle body, hence the huge noise from them. The 172's don't thats why they're a bit quieter.

Oh gawd 100 quid and for what? More induction noise? Just take both feeds off the airbox for more induction noise. keep the 100 for when it goes wrong or give it to the mattjk charity LOL

nah seriously dont bother think youd regret it, they dont filter well either.
