Opinions on Falken FK451 tyres?

I spoke with an instructor at Castle Combe and he said he raced his Corsa on them, and in a Race & Track Car mag article on the CC Saloon Car Championship recently, it seems he's not alone.

Anyone run a set on their Clio on the road? Did they last?

Or do the racers rave about them 'cause they're soft, and so wouldn't last 1 week of my daily commute?

decidedly average.

Replaced my sports touring dunlop SP sport 3000's with them on a reccomendation, and they were cheap.

They have a firmer sidewall, but they grip anywhere near aswell and make my once oversteering hero of a wagon into an understeering barge.

I wont be using them again as yoko A539's are cheaper.

I have FK451 205/40R17 on my RS. Good on streets, but not so nice on track. I can only compare these to S-03 potenza, which i had in my Williams.

Mark I ran them on the Civic but they're not the best. Chewed them up a bit quite quickly.
