Opinions on KTR uprated rear discs and pads?

My rear discs and pads need replacing soon, I was thinking of going with these and it seems to be the cheapest and quickest way of getting some with wheel bearings already pressed in.

Are they any good? I cant understand renault charging the earth for them as they arent even vented discs!
I realise they dont contribute a great deal to the braking of the car as there is hardly any weight above them, but I want something that is going to keep the car driving nicely and last for a fair while.
The car is my daily driver, although I'm thinking about doing some trackdays soon.

Thanks

Performance wise they're pointless as the rears do so little braking, not a bad price though. The cheapest you'll find renault rear discs with the bearings and rings on that I know of is £130 or so.

yeah I'm not buying them for performance, it was merely because they are cheaper than the OE ones as far as I can tell and they come with pads and the bearings already pressed in.

don't bother they are drilled and will crack some one on hear has already had problems with them cracking drop Fred a pm he should be able to sort you out with some rear disk's

all drilled discs crack after a while, when I used to work in carrera cup all the 911s used to have cracked discs after each race!

The rears won't do enough braking to get enough heat in them to crack.

I've had them on for about 3 months now and have taken them on 1 trackday.

I don't think there's any real difference and in my cup there's no way they generate enough heat to crack. I'd side with the 'they don't do enough to really care' school of thought.

However - I don't think I'd use drilled discs on the front and that presents a problem I hadn't really thought about. If I'm unhappy with anything it's that my front & rear discs no longer match...

If I was going to change them again I would probably go back to standard renault, but that's nothing at all to do with the quality of the K-Tec parts.

I have those k-tec ones. As said, no differences that I have noticed other than cosmetic tbh.

i would say that performance rear brakes are not needed on clio's. however... i did crack my rear discs (as many people have). the discs were on 7mm thickness. 4 years old. 45000 miles of wear.

I had a service done at ktec last week and they fitted their rear drilled disc and ds2500 pads, even though they dont do much at low speed they feel better at high speed braking and hard braking, but wouldnt buying drilled disc for the front though...
