Opinions on these mods please.

  Clio 197
I'm hopefully getting a new job soon and im going to start buying some mods for my 1.5dci 100. A few of the mods are mainly clio sport things but the reason Im not just going to buy a clio sport is because I cant afford the insurance only being 19 and running costs.

What are your opinions on these mods for my dci 100?

Clio 172 alloys
Lowered 40mm
RS front grill
Zunsport bottom grill
Silver visions
Colour code the bump strips all round
And I already have a civic type r aerial.
Maybe a superchip depending on the cost of insurance with it.

What do people think? I know alot of people dont like the zunsport bottom grill but tell me what you think. Thanks

All sounds good too me mate.

RS Grill would be my first choice to get the ball rolling!

Not too sure on the Zunsport as said but it's your car mate.

Yeh im buying RS grill 1st, probs tomorrow :) do you know where I can get one cheap? £60 on ebay. What would you suggest for bottom grill?

What are aero wipers? I not so long ago got some decent new wipers - Bosch ones with a spoiler on the drivers side one that push down on the windscreen more at higher speeds to clear the screen better.

Ok I will PM Wests Renault thanks for advice :)

Cheap splitter would set it off nice too, maybe the Fabia splitter will fit? Cheap and easy to fit!

Hmm might look into it. Cheers for advice
Does anyone know if I get 172 alloys, will I have to tell the insurance company as they are still renault alloys not aftermarket?

Depends on your insurance company mate.

I rang up and told them I was swapping my standard Renault alloys (same as yours) to a different set of standard Renault alloys (OZ F1's which come standard on the PH1 172) and they said it wouldn't change my insurance.

Yeh the ones I want I think are off the ph2 but fingers crossed because they are still standard renault alloys they will let me off.

Also if I spray the bump strips will I have to tell them?

Cheers

I'd be very surprised if you had a claim and they didn't pay out because you were using different renault alloys. If im honest, they look subtle enough I doubt they'd even know you'd changed them. Still worth giving them a call though to be on the safe side.

I'd say the only thing you need to inform them with spraying would be a full respray.

Yeh they look pretty much the same as my alloys now (dynamique) just slightly bigger.

Clio 172 alloys or 182 alloys on my dCi 100?

Civic Type R aerial is a must :)

Also - the 172 rear bumper makes a MASSIVE improvement to the car from the standard one (I had mine colourcoded first lol)
