Opinions on V6 clio.

I have hinted at my other half about a V6 as it is my birthday on Monday, and he did say that if I could get £9,500 for my 172 then he would get me one!

What do you think I could get for my car? It has done 4,500 miles and was new in January 2002. No marks on it anywhere.

The problem would be parking a V6. I am paranoid about leaving my 172 anywhere and I never park less than a foot more than a doors width away from anyone, or at the end of a row if poss, so leaving a V6 would horrify me.
GR, I was offered £9,500 for my car as part ex on a V6......mines an 02 (march) with 12,000miles...totaly unmarked with brand new alloys.

Im like you when it comes to parking..dont like to leave my car anywhere!!! one of the reasons Im put off getting a V6....

If you wanna have a car with a 8000 pounds cabin and you just payed 27000 pounds for it, then get the v6.

Otherwise get the 172 or the cup and drive like hell.

sorry mike.............just thought everyone should see that.......you sly old fart !!!!....he he he

According to Renault...they have tweaked the Mk2.....but i dont know how much.......project 254....should know more about what they have done....i think i read in a thread that he can do conversions for the MK1...to make it MK2 spec.........................at the end of the day its your hard earned cash....buy what you prefer..........as long as your happy.........bollox to everyone else.....just do me a favour.....spray the wheels orange .....it somehow gets peoples backs up on here.......ohhh how i laff !! http://websmileys.bei.t-online.de/lachen70.gif

Having spoken to project 254 he will be able to convert your Mk1 V6 to Mk2 mechanical spec to whatever level you want, within reason e.g. Mk2 engine subframe/rear roll bar/suspension, even engine/gearbox if you wish. The bodywork is trickier since all the panels are subtly different dimensions to the Mk1.

So, howz about this for a plan? Soon youll be able to buy a Mk1 V6 for say £15-16k, then mod the rear end to handle more like the Mk2 for a few pennies et voila - a cheap V6 that you can run about in till the Mk2s become available second-hand, or until you get bored and go buy something else!
