Opinions

As my girlfriend is set for a cash boost from a claim recently, shes considering buying a R5 GTT as shes always wanted one. She has a Pug 106 GTI at the moment running at over 140bhp (its quite quick). She isnt selling the 106 as she loves it, so the GTT would be a second car for us both. What I was wondering was how much would you pay for a reasonably mechanically sound (heaven forbid!) GTT in this day and age and how reliable are they? Shes planning on making it a show car somehow (women eh) with a cage and engine mods etc etc. I do like these motors and it will be a change stepping into one every now and again while the 182 has a rest. Anyone got any opinions on these cars - good or bad.

Cheers guys.

£2-2.5k for a half decent, well looked after one, ranging to £4-5k for a mint, untouched and well cared for example

provided they are looked after properly, they are as reliable as any other car

Yeah seen a few for around £1k mark but they look shagged to be honest. Want a good starter example :)
