Optimax

used it a few times recently and have to say i do notice a difference in the cars performance, firstly my mpg goes from around 34-35mpg to 38-39mpg and car just seems to perform better than texacos pishy fuel...anyone notice any difference themselves?

  Audi S3

yea i always use it one thing is tho its 81.9p where i live (gloucester but in cheltenham 15 miles away its 77.9

I do think its great tho

Yeah - dont know if its psychological or Ive just fallen for the ad mans hype but it certainly seems to make things run better than the other petrols.

I use it from time to time, makes my car feel a little more responsive and mpg does seem to creep up slightly.

Certainly not rocket fuel tho, me mates put it into his GSX6R motor bike tho and then it goes like f**k!!

There have been lots of debates about this... Personally I think it makes a difference.

It’s the only fuel I run in my 172

found one in nairn carlos!
LOL yeah a town of 20k gets it!! how does that figure. Never mind looks like the usual SUL for me:)

its a good little site though, means if you were planning a road trip you could plan where to refill with optimax and stock up the car with crisps!

LOL yeah - I will get to try out some Optimax eventually. I actually know the owners of that garage so I must find out when I will get some nearer me!

In may be in my head, but I feel running ron 95 sometimes that the car becomes noisey under hard acceleration beyond 5000 rpm and the power drops...

Today i had to put ron 95 in and i put £2 in to get it off the reserve light...then ran it 40 miles before filling half tank up with optimax and i could feel difference after 5 - 10 miles....optimax in the north of england is 78.9p a litre...last night i took my girlfriends car to a fina garage and SUL cost 84.9 p a litre

I just go to wherever is cheapest! Is Optimax unleaded or super unleaded? Casue unleaded is 72.7 down here whilst super unleaded is nearly 80p per litre and im not paying that whatever it does! Also is Optimax beneficial to a 1.2 16v or is it for higher performance like the Cup etc?

  FN2 Type R +MK6 Golf

on a clio tank of 50 litres you will only pay bout £3.00 more to fill up on optimax, plus you will make that back on your economy which goes up,plus it cleans ure engine and it performs better..wot is up with these people moaning bout 5p a litre.sell yor car and buy a micra......!!!!!

172s only run their full power with 98ron.

Optimax cleans parts of your engine so the first few times you use it the engine should feel better. You should always get better MPG from using it so really its no more expensive in the long run and it will keep the engine sweet. Thats what they say anyway and i believe them so always use it :)

Well im going on the 20 mile trek to get some! 40mile round trip LOL Ill need about 90mpg to make it as cheap as my SUL;)
