Origin B2 SOLO!

Right in the next few days i want to get hold of an origin B2 - but now ive just found they do a B2 SOLO! with intergrated gps antenna - any drawbacks or is it the better unit?? whats the best to go for??

You may be better off with the Original unit as that way you can put the GPS Antena in the back near a side window. It may struggle to get a lock through the windscreen due to the fancy coating. You could put it by the gap in the screen but Im sure you would rather have it within reach.

B2 Solo WILL NOT work through the Clio reflective screen

Yup go for the original B2 matey, much sleeker install and you wont have gps pickup problems that you would have with the Solo.

Well that was quick!! the B2 it is!! im planning on spending a LONG time installing it so i get it looking perfect!

Money well spent im hoping!!

Its really easy to install in the Clio, what with trim practically falling off.

I really need to hardwire mine as its currently plugged into the fag lighter.

Ditto, but Ive fed the wires behind the dash, behind the ashtray surround, and then plugged it into the socket.

So the only visible bits are the plug, cradle, laser sensor and gps reciever. All wires are hidden.

Thing is, all it takes is 5 mins to chop plug off the lead, and splice into cigeratte lighter feed! Can I find time?

LOL, ditto that too!!

Its either drive to work and keep an eye out whilst charging phone, or have a safe drive to work but a flat battery!

and yes the SOLO has problems connecting thru the heat reflective screen on the mk2 clios. the origional is far better install wise.
