Out with the old... in with the new....

Well its time to say farewell to the clio after 6 amazing months of ownership. Honestly been the best car I have ever owned, not a single problem!! Only reason for selling is that I need to free up some funds. Will miss it lots.... :dapprove: :(

Few pics of its glory days

Very wierd that a mate of mine just sold his Cup to free up funds and ended up buying a 306 Rallye. He was quite suprised by how good it was!

yeh, only downside I can see really. I have cut down my miles alot tho, mainly motorway miles to work also, plus its how you drive it.;)

One of the greatest hot hatches of all time. It's taken me a 172, 182 and finally the Trophy until I found a car I prefered to my 6.

Bloody hell, not bad for a replacement! That was the car I was after a few years back but a) couldn't afford it, and b) couldn't afford the insurance...

Would still like one now but like the clio too much!

I am so pleased!!!

The handling is better than the clio, I have driven alot of cars and the only other car I have been so impressed with the handling with (in relation to actually what it is is the Mazda 6 sport)

The car is more fun to drive due to the 6 speed, it just constantly stays within the progress rev range the whole time when your pushing it cause your up changes (3rd - 4th) drop you only down to about 4000 rpm so your constantly "on power."

The driving position is far better than the clio being lower the down with the pedals not off to the right.

Interior isnt much to shout about due to it being the rallye ( no electric windows, no AC, no 6 changer, lighter seats, less sound proofing etc) but it is a real enthusiasts car. I think there were only 491 rallyes ever made with in the region of about 300 left so it really is a rare car.

I am just lucky I got a minter, no dents, interior is spotless!!

Only think I have done is ordered 80 quids worth of you engine clips to return it to showroom condition, 2 new front tires, new Rallye carpets and a full detail.

If anyone gets a chance of buyin one - do it.;)

will post some pics soon of its full detail.

The 306 is still a suberb looking car, and the Rallye is a legend. I still have an Xsi that I dont drive anymore. The chassis is sublime and it is just as much fun to drive as my 182Cup. All it needed was a lot more power - which the GTi-6 or Rallye both have...I can imagine how good it is to drive mate!

friend of mine has a redf rallye, really nice, had a go in it and ok a lacking the toys, but smart. He ditched the 'ghey' graphics on it, which i would be inclined to do also.

he gets 28mpg from his
