Out with the old in with the new

Couldn't justify the cost of the 182 with all the motorway miles I do...

So now I got a new shape DCI... Straight swap for my 182... Not sure if its a good deal but Px for mine in the book was 8500 which I got and more...

DCI £50 a year road tax F**k me what a difference...

Over 60mpg on the motorway 30 in the 182!!

I loved the 182 but I only drove it from Manchester to Salisbury every weekend plus a bit of pottering around...Didn't make financial sense unfortunately.... You know how badly soldiers get paid....I've got a mortgage to pay!!

As a member of HM's Forces i recommend you block out your plate mate :nono:

If some radical wants to track and kill a squaddie by his car vrn I think hanging around outside one of the hundreds of army camps in the country would be more fruitful..... not browsing cliosport!!!

In fact I saw some soldiers faces on the news last night.. They might get recognised in the street... s**t we're all doomed:S

good choice on the DCi, if i was in your position i'd do the same. Everyone talks about renaultsports like they're the be all and end all and everything else is poor, but the diesel engine in the new clio is apparently extremely torquey and fun to drive. Love the colour as well, only thing i'd do is change the wheels and lower it if you want to but since you dont use it much prob not worth the bother.

I agree with Middo, everyones priorities when choosing a car are different. My boss has an 370bhp Carrera 4s but drives about in and old diesel Berlingo most days, a cars a car and if it's for commuting more than out and out fun seems like a good choice to me.
The 182 is a great performance car but don't be fooled your dci will do what it was built for as well as anything in the same class. What do you think of it anyway?

Well now that the people who think sense have commented!!!

The car is surprisingly very good... low down pull in each gear it feels really nippy.. it just gives up pulling quickly as the revs rise... for build quality its miles ahead of my 182.. none of the creaks rattles etc... Its just got all the basics but got them right.. Air con is the only add on...

up to 70 mpg claimed is the big plus... drivin to ipswich on sunday so will know a bit better about the fuel consumption then
