Outer CV circlip part number

Outer (hub) CV circlip part number needed if possible please for a 182?
Do Renault sell these separately or is it a new boot-kit job?

Oh and the grease, would that come in the kit too?

Cheers! :)

is this the boot tie?
you'd be OK with a suitable zip tie; grease is molybdenum disulphide (or 'moly' for short!) - motorfactors sell it

Many thanks Henry, yes it's the boot tie that attaches the boot to the hub (essentially).
Doubt Renault will be open tomorrow though thinking about it so I'll have to have a nosey at the local motorfactors.

Cheers, was thinking last night that I've actually got some metal banding which might do the trick.

Stupid question, but how do I know how much grease to put in?

Oh and this the grease I need? :)

jubilee clip works best really, motorfactors should have the proper clips though but you will need the cv boot clip tool to fit it.

  LY 182
you'll never hold it on with a cable tie being a plastic boot they are useless

best fix is to cut the boot off and fit a stretch rubber one with a cone, then secure that with cable ties it'll never come off

the clips renault use are no good to man or beast without the proper tool

best bet is a jubilee clip

Unfortunately, you can't use jubilee clips as the suspension is very close at the top and the clip will hit it.

I've tried zip ties on mine and they did stay in place, but weeped grease.
Using 2 would be even worse.

Using a rubber gaiter is an option, or find somewhere that can fit a crimped steel clip for you.

Good luck.:)

  Lots of Alfas
Renault sell a kit with new gaitor, grease and 2 clips, last time I looked it was £20. I wouldnt use plastic ties only as a temp fix, especially if you plan on doing track days.
