Over fuelling + Injection system light

  Jap Box
Well the problem seems to have got worst in the freezing cold :(

Car is now using £10 worth of petrol a day, and im only doing about 30ish miles.

Upon turning the ignition on the Injection system light comes on for 3/4seconds and then turns off. Is this the same with everyone?

Also the car stinks of fuel too from standstill.

What could be the possible culprits? Spark leads, coil pack, lambda sensors, anything else?

Really is geting to the point of me ready to sell the car after all of this now, its taking the piss!

Any help appreciated before I take it in to get it checked out while the lowering springs are being fitted so I can get it all done at once.

Thanks

Anyone? Got even worst now, managed to use £20 today, checked under the car where its parked and theres no spill marks for fuel anywhere :S

probably your thermostat stuck open so the car isn't warming up (highlighten by the very low temperatures) Does your temperature gauge go up to the normal level?

Hmmm, temp gague does go up normally, goes up to half way, maybe 3/4 of the way if im pushing the revs up more for a longer time.

Usually goes up to half way in about 5/10minutes I think. Thats with it being at 70 and on 4k revs the entire time.

It needs to be logged on the clip to see what the sensors are doing, otherwise you are going to be p1ssing in the wind!

RST is correct, it really needs a diagnostic session to see what the sensor array is telling the ECM.

I will say its most likely gonna be the coolant temp sensor or a faulty injector.

Was clipped in and the oxygen sensor was reading -30000000000 degrees, must be that then.

But will that cause the injection system light to come on starting the car up? As it never did before.

Ok had the sensor replaced today along with the lowering springs fitted. £200 bill :(

Injector light is still on the dash upon starting the car, he said it could be air filter sensor or something possibly but to just give it a few days and see how it runs.

Other suggestions?
