over revving in lower gears??

recently bin havin trouble with clutch gearbox or accellerator

when i change to 2nd and 3rd the revs race up then drop down and build up normally like petrols stuck in the engine or something, any1 know wat this is down to?

Sounds like a slipping clutch.

Put the car in 5th gear at about 40mph and go up a hill and put your foot to the floor, if the clutch is dead it should show up here..

sounds like nailed only slipping clutch

that mean its on its way, only does it on them gears, 4th 5th etc fine uphills etc
