Overheating

Morning all, having an issue with overheating, seems to be happening after about 5 miles into my drive to work.

So far no leaks however there is some sludge like residue in the expansion but hgf tends to show under the oil cap too, of which there is none.

Also the hoses seem to be gargling so I'm thinking a blockage of some kind.

I am probably wrong so any help is greatly appreciated, will let it cool and take another look during my lunch.

Has the water pump or thermostat ever been changed?

Could be either but check the stat first.

water pump was changed roughly 5k ago shall check stat thanks

thermostat/housing changed during my lunch break been a drive after work getting upto temp and staying there cheers for the info
