Overspray.

How do I go about getting rid of it? Ive had the car about 8 months now and ive polished/waxed/t-cutted it and it doesn't seem to get any better. Really wanting nice shiny/soft paintwork for the summer. Does it need pc'ing or whatever its called?

Cheers
Nick

Clay doesnt do anything to lacquer over spray beleive me theres a product you can buy thats like a polish but just takes the extra off cant remeber the name tho sorry

Oh right, well im not very clued up with this claybarring and pc'ing. Is there anyone around the surrey area that could do this? What does mopping the car involve, a friend said that i need it to be mopped.

Cheers
Nick

Recently had some paint work done on my 197 after someone reversed into it! After going in twice this time it has come back with overspray on the rear quarters so will be going in again! Will let you know what they do!

guess it depends upon how bad it is, but i think most would probably look at using very fine wet&dry (2000-3000) to flat the overspray, then machine polish to remove the resultant scratching. depending upon how much area's affected and how bad it is, it might not be that big of a job - just need some of the gear and a tiny bit of experience (or care). bodyshop might not charge you a great deal?

This is your answer. I work in my old mans body shop.

G3 + a Mop no need to flat it off, follow with G10 and a Glaze and it'l look the dogs, It wont have had anything to key too so shouldnt take many passes to get rid of it all

Agreed, some G3 Liquid compound on a machine polisher and it will come off no probs. I've had to do this a few times on cars that have sat in our workshop/in our yard for a while ( I'm a painter in a bodyshop).

i'd have a go at machine polishing it, i've got some on mine and i've tried everything to get rid just needs a good machine polish out.

i've got to do this on a Twingo tomorrow, as when i was spraying the side overspray got under the sheeting grrrr

Quick g3 buuf and wax job done :D
