After some recent interest I ahve been in contact with Demon Tweeks. Here is the prices they have initially offered me. Unfortunatly GRs regular discount fella was unavailable and I am dealing with someone else. I will try and get them a bit lower but dont get your hopes up..

Hi David.

John has asked me to email you back in regards to the OZ superleggera wheels as I work in the wheel and tyre department. Please find all the prices requested below.

15" wheels Goodyear tyres = £625.72
15" wheels Yokohama tyres = £549.34

16" wheels Goodyear tyres = £850.94
16" wheels Yokohama tyres = £723.00

17" wheels Goodyear tyres = £925.34
17" wheels Yokohama tyres = £866.96

All prices include vat and delivery. At the momment we have no stock of the Superleggera wheels in any size or fitment and they are going to be at least 3 weeks at the moment before we get them back in.

OK thats the best price I can get from DT - approx 15% off the RRP on wheels and approx 20% off the RRP on tyres

However here are some more figures and some good news on stock from a further e-mail

15" wheel = 5.5kg
15" tyre = 8kg

16" wheel = 6kg approx (have n,t got one here to weight)
16" tyre = 8kg

17" wheel = 7.25kg
17" tyre = 8kg

We now have 2 x sets of 17" Superleggeras to suit Renault. They have just arrived.

What is the weight of the standard 172 wheel and tyre I have heard that its 17kg but cannot confirm this!!

Dave, glad to see that DT gave you a discount on your wheel prices. I have another pal at SKIDZ, a specialist wheel place up in Falkirk, not far from both Edinburgh and Glasgow and Craig said that if I give him the prices from Demon Tweeks he will better them!

Only thing is, tomorrow is his day off so I cant get back to him until Thursday, as I didnt notice the topic until nearly 5pm and SKIDZ finish about that time. Will Thursday be alright?

I got my wheels/Toyos from Craig and even though DT gave me a good price, I got them for £60 less, and that was fitted and with locking wheel nuts. I get a good price as I have bought several sets of wheels from SKIDZ and put friends on to them too.

Unless someone like BenR gets a better price, I will get one and will let you know on Thursday. Obviously if the customer doesnt live nearby and is not able to get them fitted, there will be postage and packing to pay.

normaly i can beat any tyre price by a mile, (bar the top gear 4 yoko deal, that is ridiclous) ben lives in bristol in term time so mady a deal can be done wheels only or somthing,

just thought it might make thing a bit cheaper,

rough prices would be

4 x 205/40/17s £210 ish all fitted just to give an indication

PS Fred, what tyres are with those wheels? Often, wheel prices look very cheap, but on closer inspection you will see rubbish tyres are included, which help lower the cost and to draw your attention to their adverts! The minute you decide that you want really good tyres, the cost escalates!

720s bald? drawback of an UHP tyre mate, you want longeivity then put some slippery 400 compund michs on, i expect a chap who known to run cut slicks on the road to know these things

i was reading tyre trade news whilst drifting in and out of sleep the other saturday, seen the new racing S-O3? its called S-03RR or somthing like that, the most mental UHP (ultra high performance) tyre on the market! get saving

Teady, you dont need to mention Cliosport, just tell him that Sylvia recommended you) if you can wait until Thursday and speak to Craig Scott (day off Weds) he will give you a brilliant price.

Great place with friendly folk and there are two Craigs there, but ask for Craig Scott. I spoke to him at 5pm today (Tues) and told him that someone might ask him for Super L prices and he will beat Demon Tweeks. So I have to tell him DTs quote or you can tell him. Great guy with a very loud, nearly on the ground and very fast 106 GTi.

Give him a bell Teady on Thursday am: 01324 630060 if my memory serves me right. SKIDZ is on Grahams Road, Falkirk and is just beyond the complex with Currys, Tesco, Dixons etc.

Why not give Craig a ring tomorrow just as an enquiry and to find out whether the wheels you want are in stock, as it might be that like Demon Tweeks, they might be waiting for them.

If it is anything like OZ Super Ts, apparently they will only ship to the UK, a minimum order of 400 sets!
