Paint flicked alloys

Car  Fiesta ST-3
It's where you spray an alloy one colour ie white. And you then flick paint all over it. Saw it on a couple of cars at FCS.

Whats peoples thoughts? I kinda like it.

Well here is one I have almost finished. Thoughts?

I love it!

how do you get it on, like get that finish? flick it with what?

Spray the alloy, then I got a pot of paint made up from Halfords and flick it on with a brush.

oddly good... got more?

Non yet mate, the rest are still in paint.

Matt likes this.

Looks awesome.

I saw that done with the diamonds before i love it.

Cheers chaps :D

Ermm not sure on that yet! Might look better when its on the car

Cheers lads, I think they are going to be a love/hate item. The finish isn't fantastic by any means but more than good enough to get me through the next 3/4 months non the less. Just put another coat of laquer on the other three.

Will be good to see these on the car. You can't really tell how they'll look from just seeing them on their own. Good job though! :)

Have you used just normal primer paint and lacquer from rattle cans ? Thinking about doing something like this when my 172 alloys get here, if you dont mind of course ;)

Yes mate just rattle can spray! They are only winter wheels for about 3 months then back on with the turinies!

they look awesome, are they smooth or are the blue flicks raised?
how much laquer have you used??

thinking of doing similar with flat black base and anthricite flicks next year....

Haha I love how all these *its something i've been thinking of doing* posts have appeared. The blue flicks are ever so slightly raised but it looks awsome. And I used a few cans mate.
