paint guns, compressors and paint - help please

  1.2 Dynamique billabong
hey guys, basically i have a fair few parts that require painting and rather than sending them all to a bodyshop which will be expensive im thinking about buying an air compressor and paint gun. i have done a fair amount of body work / wheel refurbs before so im not worried about the painting, but i have no idea what i should be looking for.

is this good enough for the job

also how does the paint work, i can buy 1 litre tins but do you have to mix it with tinners or celusos etc or do you just spray.
what bar/psi do i spray at
also my clio is the silver with like a blue pearl in it, is that due to the clear coat having a tint or is it just in the paint, ie if i bought colour matched paint would it look the same.

im also a bit confused about colour sanding is this done after laquering using a really high grit paper like 1200 or higher and then portacabled to bring out the shine

any advice would be great
cheers

right then lol dont bother with that compressor ,its not big enough to power a spray gun. ive got a 50 ltr 3hp compressor which is really the smallest you should be looking at. as for the paint it depends on what paint you get if its celly based paint then you will probly need to mix it with thinner to the ratio specified on the tin, if water based then you will probly need to use a water based reducer again to the ratio on the tin.
spraying you should be spraying at about 2 bar which is about 14 psi.
dont for get your drop coats too which are done whith less paint and less pressure.
as for your paint colour as long as your colour isnt a three stage pearl (ground coat , top coat, clear coat, not nice to spray) then the pearl should be mixed in with the paint when you go to get a match on your car.
as for sanding or flatting your primmer should be finished in at least 800 wet and dry used wet, then if using celly based paint colour you can flat it if you want but if you flatted your surface that is being painted with 800, you shouldnt need to, as for water based paint i wouldnt recomend flatting it at all. then it is laquerd as you know then once the lacquer is dry to get a glass finish you flat it with 1500 wet then 2000 wet then i use somthing called trizak or trizach or something like that which is 3000 grit. then you use some cutting paste to bring it back to a shine, then finnaly polish and hand glaze
there you are enjoy haha
