Well i'll be honest when i say i've got a couple of things waiting to go out at the mo, i normally charge cost of paint plus a tenner, plus postage so for example liquid yellow, the paint costs me 30 quid so i'll charge you around the 45 quid mark, the colour on andys is candy red and that cost me 25 quid for the tin. However if you just want a basic colour it normally only costs me 10 quid for paint. Danny boys is painted in andromeda (the rainbowy colour) so that also cost me 25 quid a tin. I normally do a deal with sidebadges as i'm using the same paint, of a tenner on top with handpainted numbers in gold or silver.

this is the other one i did, this one is liquid yellow and racing blue. (sure andy wont mind me stealing his pics ;))

cheers middo what coulor do you think would go better on a black/gold. liquid yellow or candy red or what would you recomend. that would be for the badges with the silver writing the dash inserts and the engine cover.

thanks one again mate

i buy the 2.0 stickerss from a local graphics place

Craig - personal preference to be honest, i currently love liquid yellow, but may be a bit much against the black. On black cars a dark red looks good, however i would prob use a basic metallic instead of candy as it looked no different really. These are some of the badges/ dash inserts i've done

First cliosport next the world?
Need some tips for mine, 1)tape up letters and cut around them with stanley knife and paint/laquer around them or paint them in after with a little brush and laquer the whole lot?

Thank you please!

I really fancy having the engine cover of my racing blue effort done in liquid yellow, it looks the absolute nuts from what I can see.
Anyone know anyone who does this in N. Ireland?

i hand paint the letters back in ;) works of art my badges lol.

You cant really mask em off as it leaves a sharp edge which is liable to chip or peal.

  Liquid Yellow 182
There's a few pictures of mine on my gallery, engine cover and a few other bits are liquid yellow.

Middo you're work is top quality.
Years ago I worked as a valeter in a vaxhall bodyshop and they were unable to achieve this sort of quality on trim work, you'll be building that reputation of yours very quickly.

Just one question, are engine covers available for the MK2 PH1 1.6 16v?
Seeing your work makes me want one now. my engine looks like the one in this link from ktec.

Does spray need to be heat resistant AND flexible so it doesn't crack or flake ? Also need a clear lacquer on top ?

thanks for the compliment mate :)

As i said i dont really make any money off doing them, but i dont mind as i know bodyshops can charge an arm and a leg for what i do
with flip coats etc etc.
