Painting Calipers

  ATS CUP'd Dynamique
I have a 1.2 16v dynamique and i have painted the rear drums black. My calipers are starting to look shabby and i want to paint them. I was thinking of yellow as my car is black but this would highlight the fact i have tiny, weedy calipers. should i paint them yellow or should i paint them black or silver to hide this fact.

cheers for your thoughts
Tom

i painted mine gold as i was the same and thought red or yellow would stand out to much. my car is silver however.

Did you use hammerite smooth gold

i did indeed. as long as you prep them well (i used hammerite metal de-greaser, wonder wheels, a wire brush and a 2" paint brush all for cleaning) they will be fine. the gold is really subtle, i sometimes forget i have them done until i come to wash it.

I'm thinking of doing mine a gloss black, should look good as the car is black with the silver 172 wheels so should be a nice contrast against the calipers and compliment the high gloss finish of the paint.
