lots of threads already based on this.

basically you can do it yourself, but it would be very labour intensive unless you have the specialist materials / compressor etc.

basically it consists of sanding / plastic priming / high build primer / colour / lacquering.

alot easier to get a bodyshop to do it in my opinion.

Body Shop quoted me £300 for full colour code, Bumpers, Bump Strips, Mirrors and Handles.

Might as well get it done proper, IMO.

Top job as well.

Havent had it done, but he has done some other spraying when a tw*t with a 4x4 decided he couldnt reverse without taking the side off my car.

in the process of doing mine now, took the side strips off on saturday, i bought a wet and dry assorted pack from halfords to sand it down, finally using very wet wet and dry 1200, i had them all smooth.

i started priming on monday night,

I put the black on tonight.

its looking smooth still ill have to wait till i laquer it all, its not as hard as i thought... so far.

as im not really into modding it doesnt really matter if it aint paintshop quality to me, the colour is a good match,

my advice is to take time when spraying and dont panic if it goes wrong, after all you can always sand it all back and start again.

good luck
