Panasonic Problem - HDMI1 in corner blinking

  Skoda Fabia vRS
we have owned a panasonic lcd 32" tv for approx 6-8 months, and over the last 3-4 months have had this problem, which we cant live with any longer !

basically what happens is that on hd input, we get the hdmi1 in the corner keep blinking on and off every few minutes, the picture and sound stay on fine, i suspected a problem with the hdmi port on the back and switched to using hdmi2 input which did work for a few weeks, then the problem returned, i then suspected a faulty cable so tried a new one, the problem again went away for a few weeks and then came back, i have now tried it back on hdmi1 but still get the problem

any ideas ?

what model (i can experiment as i expect i own a similar model) also what kit,.

Does any of the stuff connected to it have the ability to sense useage and switch on. Have you tried turning this feature off.

V+ box connected to a Panasonic TX-32LXD60

one thing to note is that both cables tried are the free ones we got with the V+ box so not sure of their quality

you will have to do some problem solving. Remove components, or all of them if required untill it stops doing it, if the tv continues no matter what you do then look at having panasonic or your retailer take a look.

I'd check on the V+ forums, sounds like some sort of media sensing perhaps. Might be happening when the V+ is pulling information/epg or other data and 'reconnecting' to your TV although that would be strange.

Failing that do you have another device to test in the HDMI sockets?

sadly no other HD input to test it with, and touch wood the problem has gone away but will no doubt return in a few weeks time like it usually does
