Panel Filter: ITG or K&N or other?

  Iceberg 172
Any recommendations for replacement panel filters? What's seen as best?

Are ITG ones lifetime items like K&N or are they disposable? And are there any other alternatives that come recommended? What about Pipercross?

Cheers for any info and experiences...

Id pick cotton over foam - not as oily and flow better - personal opinion ov id go for k&n or green

Both of which never seem to have any good write ups (on any make of car) from what iv read over the years...

Thought foam is meant to be the best flow anyway as of why ITG are regarded as one of the market leaders ?

I was informed by someone that knew there stuff that cotton was better than foam. at the end of the day there both gunna flow better than paper.

The main reason is is the cotton ones arent soaked in that horrible greasy stuff the foam ones are which is bad for MAF sensors nott hat the clio has one though but deffo a valid point for a car that does.

i use a pipercross one, you wont really see much difference between the filters IMO

quite right really, a filter is a filter! ITG are good as are pipercross. K&N and green are also good so just go for one that is easy to get hold of and is on your budget! :)

there all lifetime filters dont worry will only need cleaning and re-oiling if realllly dirty. I just take mine out and hover the crap off it.
