Panel Filters

I'm currently using a K&N filter in my airbox, I've noticed quite a few people on here are using ITG panels. Is there a reason for this or just personal perference?

Personal preference - I prefer cotton myself due to the fact its not as greesy and i think it flows better. Not much in it though really.
