Panel filters

I have been looking at induction kits and currently saving for an ITG. In the mean time though i am thinking of getting a new panel filter maybe a KTR or ITG one until i can get the money together.

Are the performance panel filters anygood?

I have the standard fitting Pipercross panel filter, only because it keeps the engine bay OE and it is washable. Some types of filter claim gains of a couple of bhp. and ft. lbs. of torque but you can't really feel any difference.
