Parts needed to service my 1.2

  Cam'd Arctic FF 182
Hi all,

I've done a quick search but I'm not 100% sure...
What bits do I need to do to service my little Ph1 1.2?

Air + Pollen + Oil Filters
Engine Oil (Going to use 5w40 Fully Synthetic)
Spark Plugs
Gearbox Oil (Not desperately needed as it's only a minor service, but I might do this anyway as it hasn't been changed in a long while)
Bleed Brakes
Wipers/bulbs if needed

Thanks for reading - anything I've forgotten??

I'd be interested to know what else to 'inspect' during a self service.

Anything you can see really for a visual inspection. Worth checking these:

Shocks
Springs
Brakes
Driveshafts
Steering components - wishbones, tie rods etc.
Exhaust

I would buy a sump nut and washer as well just incase. But you seem to have everything covered

Right, I've just had a word with my brother and he's told me to look at prices for these parts (Not 100% sure on this list but I'm about to make a couple of calls to get prices):

(+ Renault Prices:)
1. oil filter £8.35
2. oil sump plug gasket £1.50
3. oil (10w40) £28.00 + VAT
4. coolant -
5. brake fluid £6.00
6. gearbox oil (Renault said don't bother as it won't be needed, ever)
7. spark plugs £30.68

(Note: I don't need a new air filter as I'm going to fit my induction kit)

£8.35 for a oil filter, urm go to a motor factors it will be about £4ish,

Or have you got the type that has a removable filter inside?

I'm on 39K miles (car is Y reg, early 2001)
Low mileage is because it's my gran's old car and she hardly ever drove it :)

I'm planning on changing the gearbox oil but the bloke on the phone at Renault just said that the gearbox oil will probably out-live the rest of the car and that they wouldn't change it in a service...
Anyway, what oil should I use for the gearbox + does anyone know how much?
(I've got the Haynes manual at my parents place, so if no one knows I'll be able to find out at the weekend when I come to service it.)

James.F: I've got no idea what type of oil filter I've got :rasp:
