passenger seat release cable - how much to fix?

am looking at buying a 172cup which i have just been told has a smallish problem

the passenger front seat release handle doesnt let the seat move forward, ive been told that its just the cable that has gone, does anyone know how much this would be to fix? as the guy im buying the car off is going to knock the cost of this problem off the price of the car

Has the cable snapped, or just not feeding properly. I had the same with my driver's seat in the Cup, and the Renault mechanic guy came out, and within 5 mins was done...no parts required (the cable wasn't feeding correctly).

if it needs anew cable then bout 20 odd quid i think

I've had my seat cable replaced, took around an hour to do.

I would ask for £100 off min.

£70 - 80 labour charge plus the cable.

i would phone renault to check on a price though.

renault quoted me £137 fitted, seems like such a rip-off! typical renault
