Passenger side driveshaft query

Just a quick question, the 3 bearings on the tripod are untrue so car feels awful when you plant it, like it's got a square wheel. Just wondering if anyone knows whether the bearings themselves can be renewed or if it's time for a whole new shaft? It's starting to really do my head in now so want it sorting. Also if I bought a 172 Cup passenger side shaft would it fit or are they different as well?

i would just buy a new driveshaft mate i got one from renault £121 and there is a few traders on here that will give you a good deal

Or a referb one from Renault, nothing wrong with them. Don't just buy any old drive shaft.

Tripod is available. £189!!!!!!! Service exchange shaft is about £145-£160 (slight variation in price, model dependant)
