PC geeks.........

Car  RIP Dan
Mum inlaws PC has a problem.......

Using broadband, going on the net is fine.

As soon as i hit send recieve in Outlook express the stupid thing seems to drop the connection.

It has Mcaffee on it.

I am suspicious of it.

Any ideas?

Check the 'Account' settings in Outlook Express. I can't recall the exact buttonpushes but there's an option for which connection it should use to connect - set it to use the current connection.

Does the whole connection drop or it just doesn't work in outlook? If your using a USB modem it could be disconnecting after its finished sending and receiving.

In the options of outlook there is a tickbox somewhere that says 'hang up after send and receive' Turn this ticked untick it.
