Wanna spend a little money on the pc bext week.
It currently has 2gb of ram, 2x1gb.
But im looking to upgrade to 4gb or possibly 8gb, anyone know any links of places to buy these from.
And would i be better buying 4x2gb or 2x4gb to run 8gb?
Also any links for graphics cards aswell would be greately appreciated :0

do you have a 64bit operating system? - if you dont there is no point going over 3gb ram as it wont be detected by windows.

I have writing on the tower, amd 64 live??

that might just be your processor.

right click on my computer and press properties and see if it says 64 bit windows anywhere on that screen

if it doesnt you will need to get your hands on a copy of 64bit windows (xp or vista, your choice) before you shell out on RAM!

if i was you id just buy 4x1gb sticks, works out cheaper and at least you will have 4gb for future reference and there is no need really to upgrade to a 64 bit operating system

also after going on that site and doing the scans, it will tell you how to free up some performance and you probz wont need to buy any ram as it will be faster and more stable if you follow the results and adjust what it tells you too

thats a decent card, if you play pc games i would recommend an upgrade but if you just use the pc for internet, office normal things etc you wont notice any difference really

I play alot of counter strike, so i dont think its quite upto it

there all the same fitment basically, well theres 2 types pci and pci-e, the e stand for express, yours is a pci-e i think

yer it depends what you want to spend really, yours is a pci-e as i just checked, and yer usually the bigger the mb the better
