PC rebooting when memory stick is inserted

One of the schools i support has a IT suite full of stone machines and whenever a memory stick is inserted into the front usb ports it reboots, leave the memory stick in, let the machine come back up, log on and it works fine

Anyone seen this before?

Could be a power surge on the USB hub

As Jacko said sounds like maybe a duff Card reader or is it a REALLY really old PC?

Its 30 PCs all the same model they are all doing it
