I have six internal drives in my PC, and need to swap one (F: 1TB) for a 2TB one. I have already copied the files over to the 2nd disk using an external E-SATA case but the PC will not boot without F: being plugged in. I have to same with a couple of the others too.
Configuration:
C:/ Primary Windows on a SSD
D:/ Program data/ Users/ non vital programs
E:/ Music
F:/ Photos
G:/ Downloads
H:/ Video
Running Windows 7.
The Bios boots to C:/.
The message when booting with E,F or G missing is that the Bootmgr is missing. Is there something I am missing in the disk management that means that all disks have to be present?
