PC'ing What is it?

Car  FN2 Type R GT
Ive been on here for a while now and always see people saying ive Pc'd my car etc and i still dont know what it actually means/stands for!?

I know it involves an electric polisher thing that takes out swirls? and taping everything up but apart from that i have no clue.

Could someone please explain..

Thanks

PC = Porter Cable random-orbital polisher. New and similar products is the Megs G220 polisher, but some people still call it "PCing" for some reason...like when you are going to vacuum your carpet you say you are Hoovering I guess...

sac doing it as a day job, i do mine once a yr, takes near on 20hrs and looks spot on for the yr! I've got to do mine next weekend, luckily half the car is resprayed! Woop woop!

Not yet! It's doorless, bumperless and bonnetless at the mo! Looks a state! COme FCS it will look good tho! You going?

It is a bit time consuming aint it?! the ones we do for friends & family we try and turn around in a day! thats 2 of us both with pc's, i reckon you could spend forever though!!!

That is ridiculously clean!

What does it require doing then? do you polish it using normal car polish then go over with the machine to take swirls out of the paint? any demos of swirls vs no swirls?

pc= porter cable are used for paint correction i have a porter cable but im after a rotary next like a mikita due to the time taken can be halfed with the rotary using the porter cable is bloody hard work lol

..... true, but you can damage paint in the wrong hands, v quickly!!!
