PCTV Card / Sky

Hi all.. i have a sky box which is located in my front room..i have a cable that runs all the way to my bedroom where i have my PC - i have a PCTV card in the back of the tower to enable me to watch tv!with a magic eye! :approve: always suffered from a poor signal - hence running it from my sky box!

Its better than the aerial but still not great! i understand the strength of the signal will be reduced but i was hoping it would be a bit better - ie the signal in the front from is fantastic! and 100% perfect

any thoughts on making the picture clearer?! less interference etc :approve: thanks all

Use a better shielded cable and make sure it's as far away from electrical cables and sockets as possible.

I do the same thing except mine is connected to a tv on my desk. If I have the tv near my pc then the picture is pretty shoddy but put it the other side of the desk and it's as clear as it is downstairs. As you're using a tv card I think you might be stuck with the interference though.

If it's a sky+ box can you not use the s-video out on the box to go itno the input on pc card? Thats what I do and recordings are great quality!

i will have to try moving all the cables away from the back of the card?! :approve:
