Peashooter exhaust

Got a twin pea shooter on my CRX. Dont want to spend cash modding the car and its difficult to get decent back boxes too for such an old car. Do you thing i should bolt on a trim to make it look better? I know bolt on exausts are sh*t but it would improve the looks and you wouldnt be able to tell unless you got real close.

no bolt on!

get a rage backbox which is universal so u would av to cut off ur old one and weld that one on! u can get em for bout £70!

u would see ur old zorst through the trim so i wouldnt bother wit that!

no no no no bolt ons!!!!

just get either rage as alex said or the new jap style exhausts they do loads for crxs and if not they have universal ones!

would sound wicked on it!

they are 4" tho!

vix :)

get a tiger exhaust (used by K-Tec IIRC) again universal, quite cheap, look and sound beautiful

my mates got a bolt on on his mg and it looks ok. You couldnt tell unless you got under the car

i spoke to the guy from rage and CRXs and MR2s are bad for universal exhausts because the back box goes sideways. Also on the CRX the axel is close to the back. It i bought a universal (ST5 in rage catalogue looks good) id still have to get it fitted and get all the pipe work done. I know bolt ons are sh*t, but i tried some and if i get 6 inches of pipe cut offthey fit nicely under the body work and u cant really tell. The other problem is that when honda made the exhaust they made the standard one very well and messing with it usually reduces power. If i stick a universal ss exhaust on i may end up 10 BHP down. The only other alternative is to fit a powerflow custom made jobby. However i dont want to spend much cash (if i was going to spend £300 id just put it towards cams for my Williams). How easy is it to get exhaust pipe work done?
