pedal potentionmeter?

is the throttle potentionmeter thingy-magig attached to the throttle pedal? i had an engine management light on 2 days ago and when accelerating it was putting my car into limp mode but it suddenly disappeared.. i had a machine put on and it said it was the pedal. how much are these 2 replace? thinking about getting one in advance and changing it just incase it goes again.

Hi Mate

I had to get one on my 172 when I had it. From memory it was about £50 second hand, but that was off a mate.. You have to buy the full pedal unit. Speak to somebody like cliospares as I know they had them in stock a while ago, think they were about £80-£100.

The plug for the pedal-unit in the driver´s footwell can be faulty aswell.
