Pedal Spacing on 172

I find the pedal spacing on my 172 useless for heel & toe - the pedals are too far apart.

Has anyone replaced either the brake or throttle pedal on their car to change this? If so, what did you do?

You could do it with spacers etc You can toe and heal without though.

I'll have to bodge some sort of solution together. Rubbish pedal spacing and standard rubbish driving position means h&t is technically possible but not natural/easy for me in the clio. Pretty much every other car I drive isn't a problem, just the clio.
