People of the South - Where do you get your tyres?

Hi all,

stupidly hadnt checked my tyres recently and when i fitted my new springs yesterday notice some SERIOUS wear, so am needing to replace them

Have always got my tyres done by r-tec in st albans, herts, but as i'm not gonna have the free time to make it up there for a month, and also have a trackday coming up, i need to sort them sooner.

Live in Southampton area, and looking for someone whos gonna be cheap and careful with wheels (theyre gonna be refurbed this week hopefully)

Any suggestions?

i get them from my work now. but used to use protyre in fareham they were always good id advise you going there and get tracking done aswelll

Micheldever Tyres are supposed to be good and not far from you. I get mine from Blackcircles and get them fitted at Hook Tyres for 20 quid.

In my experience, they only seem to employ people who like cars and are good at their job. Can't say a bad word about them.

Thats where I use.

Get there early though, as they get very, very busy.

Protyre/Micheldever are the same company so you are often guaranteed the tyres you want within 90 minutes if you live in this area.

You used to travel from southampton to st.albans to get your tyres?

I'd say get them online and take them to somewhere local, google camskills

dave- no, my parents live there, so got them when i was up there

either ay am sorted for tyres now, just need the wheels back so i can fit them!
