People with track cars/no interior or headliner

Basicly my cars been sitting in a carpark for 2-3 months not doing anything, it's not got a headliner on the roof.

So do people with track cars that don't have a headliner have the same problem as me with condensation? My seats front and back are f**king ruined! The seats are soaking and covered in moss it's a disgrace!

Anyway to combat this without putting a headliner back in?

Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid I can't help with how to prevent it but give the seats a good shampooing with Autosmart Biobrisk and it will kill any nasty bacteria and mould and the seats/ other fabric will be fine :)

  330i. E30 Touring.
Dehumidifier and hoover the dry mould off.
?
Maybe try leaving some rice in a bowl in the car? That attracts water, no?

My car has been without a headling for the last 3 years...it spends weeks at a time without turning a wheel, and is parked a stone's throw from the beach so in a relatively humid area...but I have never had even so much as a drop of condensation on the inside of my roof?!?

I've no idea why!

Silica gel packs or rice as mentioned. Once you get rid of it, unless there is a seal issue, moisture shouldn't get back in.

  S4, Tamora, Conti GT
As said before silica gel, but you will need a fair amount of it. Bowl of rice will not work as rice doesn't absorb water until it reaches 68degrees.

Cheers for the advice, will get my headliner back in ASAP as I have got the car home now, the seats are soaked through and mouldy and it stinks so my mates going to valet it all once I have dried it out.

I realised the problem will be with the sunroof obviously not sealing properly causing the moisture throughout the roof, in turn has ruined my seats and door cards!
