People with uprated cams, few questions :)

ok, next year i will more than likely needing my aux belt doing, thinking of maybe getting a cam package tied in with this, possibly from gdi if the price is right,

just a bit curious, people who have had this done what do they think? and is it really worth it? how much of a difference will it make 0-60. 0-100?

thanks

yeah i believe in the package youd get cams, remap and inlets matched hoping to tie the aux belt in with that too and whatever else needs doing at 36000k

Cams is where the power is on a N/A set up. Massive difference to performance (obviously)

Down side, not nice to drive slow,in traffic or when cold.

2.0 clios are crap when there cold anyway so with agressive cams even worse lol - i couldnt explain why though sorry

i always let mine warm up before driving anyway,

just hope someone who has actually had a cam upgrade done can shine some light on it and tell me what they think, recommend.......

Not sure on specific times but mine is most definately quicker since my cams etc were fitted. Wasnt the GDI spec package but their nearby rivals at AWT. I had it done at 40k about 3 months ago and my cup is a 53 plate. Well doing if you have the spare cash for some cams.
I had an exhaust, viper and superchip to start then had my manifolds matched then a few months later had the cams and a new map and used an ITG panel instead of the viper. So i had a gradual spread of power and the change isnt as dramatic as you might / hope. But the more i drive my car the more i appreciate it. It got rid of the 5k kick and just pulls harder from 2k all the way through the rev range.
Two friends have just bought new renaults one a 225 cup and the other a 197, so i still need to have a more in depth road test !!!!

no such thing on an F4R as a lumpier than normal idle and "it drives bad in traffic" when running diff cams
