Petrol Level/Gauge Fault

Ok, not a clio... but my old man's Laguna II.

At the petrol station today the computer was showing 65 miles to go on the tank... so he put a tenner in to last the rest of the week.

The gauge didn't move at all, and after the tenner of fuel the computer was still showing 65 miles left.

So to test it further... in goes another tenner... and no different! same position on the gauge, same readout on the computer!

thoughts?

thought of that earlier, will give it a go tomorrow...

we're trading it in at the weekend so not a big deal, but would be nice to know how much fuel was in there for the rest of the week!

A fair enough, he must know roughly how much he uses a week, just stick an extra jerry can in the boot just in case.
