This is going to be more of a slow progress thread rather than a project thread.
well after owning fiestas for 3 years I decided for a change and purchased my mk2 PH1 clio last week, its a very tidy car, few niggles needed here and there but otherwise it's a nice little car. It's a 1.4 5 door alize, compared to my old 1.25 zetec fiesta (which my mrs now has) it doesn't feel as nimble or as sporty but its definitely more comfortable. It was quite loud when I put my foot down when I bought it, but after a quick look under the bonnet i realised the air box wasn't on properly, so now that's on it's a bit quieter, it's also drinking fuel like there's no tomorrow, which I still haven't sorted, any ideas of what this could be would be appreciated.
Anyway, this was it when I got it home (you can't make it out from the photos but its a pretty confused car, Renault badges on it, yet ford badges on the number plates lol)
First thing I done (as with all my cars) was upgrade to aero wipers, they last longer and are more efficient, and for just a couple of quid off eBay you can't go wrong.
i then upgraded my rear lights to PH2 lights
and I won a piper cross induction kit off eBay for pretty cheap too which will go on when it arrives.
that's it for now, the future plans are:
lower (not sure how low and I'm constantly driving over bumps/ really bad roads due to work)
dual optic headlights
new alloys, not sure what ones yet
S/S exhaust, probably from pro-speed
rear windows tinted
Colour coding
led light upgrades
They are my main plans for now/the near future, forgive me if I seem a bit dull about clio's, as I said, I've only owned ford.
all comments and ideas are welcome, good and bad
