Ph1 172 gearbox/clutch issues

Bought my first Clio 172 ph1 a week today, and I think the clutch/release bearing has gone! It's only done 68K on a 2000 plate, I gave it a bit of throttle and let off and it's just seemed to nose dive, as if someone slammed brakes on, this a clutch/release bearing issue or gearbox? Cheers!

could be brakes, get it looked at.

100% not brakes, it's when I let off the accelerator, reading up seems to be clutch release, new clutch being fitted as I speak anyway see if it fixes, had a slight grumble under acceleration to

get the diff/box looked at while it's being done then, very much doubt it would be clutch related.
