ph1 172 Gearbox ?

does anyone no the gearbox code for a ph1 172. im looking for a new box but some on ebay say they do not fit a ph1 172 or cup

As long as its got a speedo drive you can fit it.

I have a 52 reg Clio Cup. Probably going to embarrass myself here but I'll ask anyway...

Are there any differences between the gearbox of a Cup and a non-Cup?

I know there are differences between the boxes in the 172 and the 182.

I think there is. It's a cup box I got and it's different to a non cup

ph2 172 cup jc5-129

Both speedo drive, ph1 box has slightly longer ratios, a little less acceleration, but higher top end.

I think the phase 2 182 is a jc5-130 - no speedo drive
