f0xy used an emulator of some kind on his mk1 f4r, might be worth searching his thread.

Isn't there a device you can get made up with your keycode? I have this feeling in the back of my head it clips onto the OBd port and by-passes the immobiliser? It's based on a code founded etched onto your keys i think or in the back of the service book.

You do exactly what I did in my mk1.
I have a friend who can virginise the ECU for you PM me and I can sort it and you buy an emulator from here:

Splice the red wire to ecu pin 29 (ign live)
Splice black wire to ecu pin 33 (ground)
Cut the wire comming from ecu pin 58 and wire teh emulator to give the feed to the ecu on this wire (immobiliser signal)
Make sure the emulator is wired in before plugging the ECU in - just in case
Sorted!
