ph1 172 or DC2??

As above, which would you have and why? pros and cons of both, tuneability, servicing costs, fuel economy, how easy to live with etc.

172 is cheaper for a nice one, you want the teg on the same mileage and same condition and it will cost you alot more

thats not too much of an issue as my need for a car is so small now, and I will be looing upto £5k. I am just considering options at the moment.

I really dont think you would get a very good 'teg for 5k mate, although Honda's are known and proven for there bullet proof reliability where as Renault is not so hot especialy higher mileage examples!

I think performance wise the DC2 would run with it, revs hard, accelaration is fierce!

Although fuel would be the killer, to get the most out of VTEC'd engines you have to rev it hard to get the most out of it, im not sure when the VTEc responds in the DC2 but in the K20 CTR its 5300rpm which lets face it your not going to see over 30mpg very often!

The DC2 was voted the best front wheel drive car was it not!

I would go for the DC2, simply cause its better made, looks great in white and has an awesome high powered engine!

dont EK9s go for more than DC2s?? Sorry if thats completely wrong but the only EK9s i have seen where more than 5k
