PH1 172 TDC Sensor - How to get at it

Hi , changed my spark plugs but still have intermittent starting .

How do i get at the TDC sensor on a PH1 172 ? Ive heard its on the left hand side of th engine bay but where ? do i need to remove anything to get at it ?or go from underneath ?

Ive looked through the forums and people are finding it dead simple to clean/ replace ? But im not ?

Pretty simple but not the easiesy engine to do it on. Remove the airbox and it will be on top of the gearbox under a few coolant hoses. Make sure you replace the sensor with the peice of modified loom also.

And solder it to the loom, don't crimp!

Use the shrinkers you get with the kit

As stated, where the gearbox bellhousing meets the engine block, at the top.

Remove airbox.

It's held on by two 10mm bolts.
