ph1 alloy bonnet

worth changing from a steel one to a alloy one? what year did they stop making this as an option on the ph1? is it an easy swap?

Saves a few Kg's i think( around 4ish??) easy swap (4 bolts and washer pipes i think) but they dent more easily so dont push your bonnet shut! If your thinking about selling it let me know what price your after/ what colour its in etc?

It was never an option but came randomly on certain ph 1's

I think it was only the first few that have them along with the shift light. Mine has the ali bonnet light as fook.

My mk2 ph1 1.6 16v also has an aluminium bonnet and it's a v reg so they were available on at least two different models

Never knew that. I think renault just put them on random clio's haha.

Lol maybe. my clio's quite strange tbh, think it got the toys before the did away with the mk2 ph1's. got ally bonnet, Air Con, Electric Sunroof and Electric heated mirrors. also sport dials etc. think they just chucked all the parts they had at it! lol
